Wiring help needed... upgrading CAT3 to CAT5e

08 Mar.,2024

Hi so my question is we have Three wiring coming from the telephone interface device box to the modem we currently have a dead spots in one of the rooms for the Wi-Fi, and neither an extender would work and we were told that we need to do a re-wire by the AT&T technician. Well I hardwired a 2nd router from The AT&T modem to the dead spot in the house as well as lead wire for cat 5E replace the Three. The Internet works better in a dead zone however still spotty I am now going to do the upgrade of the cat three to the cat 5E however I am unsure where all for twisted pairs of the cat 5E go. If anybody can help would be greatly appreciated thank you as the AT&T technical assistance would not help to answer my question as my The AT&T modem to the dead spot in the house as well as lead wire for cat 5E replace the Three. The Internet works better in a dead zone however still spotty I am now going to do the upgrade of the cat3 to the cat 5E however I am unsure where all for twisted pairs of the cat 5E go. If anybody can help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance as the AT&T technical assistance would not help to answer my question as myName is not on the account even though I am not asking an account related question? Thank you
