Reinforcing welded wire mesh are made from reinforcing wire, located in two mutually perpendicular directions and connected at the intersection of resistance spot welding.

Application of reinforcing welded wire mesh:
Reinforcing mesh is used to increase the structural strength of reinforcing concrete structures and asphalt. Creation of the inner frame reinforcement for concrete structures can provide a high level of performance . Reinforcing mesh is also used for other purposes, such as:

  • Building. Welded mesh reinforcement is widely used for reinforcement of concrete structures. In this case, inside poured concrete forms (under the slab, frame foundation slab is poured) laid welded reinforcing mesh, which serves to increase the strength of formed concrete structures.
  • Making frames.
  • Reinforcement of road surfaces or parking areas, so welded reinforcing mesh called road reinforcing mesh grid (5-6 mm).
  • Manufacture of various fences.
  • Used as Masonry mesh (3-4 mm wire).
  • Used as coal mine supporting mesh for coal mine roadway supporting.

Technical point: as armature construction, welded mesh reinforcement is laid with a slight overlap. Therefore less useful area maps by about 10% than its geometrical dimensions.

rebar vs. wire mesh for garage slab

what are the pro&#;s & con&#;s of re-bar vs. wire mesh for a 350sq. ft. garage slab poured 4&#; thick? are they even necessacary? am also doing a 750 sq. foot great room with stained concrete & radiant floor heating&#;what are my best bet&#;s to prevent the inevetable cracking of the concrete (would like to avoid cutting the slab if possible)? get a different answer from each concrete sub I talk to about these issues&#;would anyone be kind enough to lead me in the right direction? thanks!
