The material buffer layer inside the helmet adopts 3D printing dot matrix structure. The microstructure of the material plays a great role in its ability to absorb impact. Finally, 3D printing (SLS Technology) and TPU powder materials are used to design and develop the dot matrix structure of the snowmobile helmet buffer layer, which is better than the traditional EPS foam material. Its impact resistance is improved by about 40%, which can resist various impact forces of the helmet in case of collision and better protect the athlete's head, The helmet made of carbon fiber and TPU lattice structure weighs only about 1.1kg, which is 500g less than the helmet used by the national team before, effectively reducing the weight of athletes.
