New Lower Price Point for Lithium Batteries

I can see the day when it won't be cost effective to DIY; the main issue right now is that they just don't always have robust BMS' with the best features (and often times basic features). But it is nice knowing exactly what's in the box and how to maintain it. Anyway, enough of my diatribe just brain-dumping into the ether...

That's interesting. I don't look at manufactured battery prices too much. I know for my first foray into lithium I purchased a 206AH SOK battery for $1,050. Then I researched tons and decided to build my own. I built 4 280AH packs for $725 each. They have robust BMS' with all the useful features such as power button, 250 amp continuous draw, 150 amp charge, low/high temp cutoff, bluetooth, cell management, etc.. Just interesting to see how DIY compares in price now. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for the tremendous amount of hours I put into researching, learning, testing cells, building the batteries, configuring the BMS', etc., as that would have made it very much not cost effective.I can see the day when it won't be cost effective to DIY; the main issue right now is that they just don't always have robust BMS' with the best features (and often times basic features).
